Ms. Levine,

Ella Enchanted is one of my favorite books of all time! My husband gave me an eReader for Christmas, and I was wondering if Ella Enchanted will be available for purchase for the Nook?

Nishat--Thank you!

Abigail--I'm delighted you've given so much thought to THE TWO PRINCESSES OF BAMARRE, which is pronounced to rhyme with far. I wrote the book a long time ago, and, alas, I don't remember what my thinking was about Rhys's age and his retreat to the sorcerers' citadel.

Aubrey--You can buy FAIREST through the website, right here. Click on "Buy" above and you'll see what to do.

Ms. Levine,

So, The Two Princesses of Bamarre has long been one of my favorite books and I finally bought a copy for myself this past weekend. Other people can use the library's copy now, since it won't perpetually be at my house.;-) Anyway, I was wondering, is "Bamarre" supposed to be pronounced buh-mair or bah-mare or buhm-are? I've always said it so it rhymes with hair, but my little sister says it so it rhymes with far.

Also, Rhys is 78, but 17 in sorceror's years. So if you do the math, one human year is about 4.588 sorceror's years, or vice versa, one sorceror year is about 0.218 human years. So if sorceror's live to be 500, that's equal to 109 human years, which makes sense for them to die at that age. But they go to their citadel at 200, which is about 44 human years. Isn't that rather young to go hide away? And do all soceror's retreat to their citadel at that age? I don't think Rhys would leave Addie in midlife like that. It makes more sense to retreat at 300, because that equals 65 human years, normal retirement age.
But you probably didn't think about all that math when you wrote the book, it's not an important fact, just an interesting one.

:-)I absolutely love your books! I am a new fan, really, my friend got me to read your books, and I have got to say this: THEY ARE AMAZING! Keep the books coming! I read in your website that you read all of your fan mail, but don't necessarily reply back. I would be honored for you just to read this! Thanks for all of your entertaining books! EXUBERANT! :-D
